The “Chicagoan” was a monthly periodical which was published by my grandfather’s employer, The Chicago National Bank. He was a vice president of that bank and eventually became a vice president for Harris Bank in Chicago. He was featured in an article during the summer of 1958.
My father’s grandfather (my great grandfather) was an Irish Detective Sergeant for the Chicago Police force, and, on one occasion, served as a body-guard for President Grover Cleveland. He later went into the livery and undertaking business. All was lost in the great Chicago fire
On the left is my great grandparents. Above is another one of the Costello clan. He is Edward Cardinal Egan of the New York Catholics.
