7520 W. Grand Ave. - Elmwood Park
This was our first apartment after we got married. It was hard for me to adjust to living in this hamster hole. This building had a tremendous amount of truck traffic on Grand Ave and it was located across the street from the train station. And, it was small (and it was too close to the hot dog stand) and our living room window looked out into the alley.
It really was a very nice place but after two years we needed to get out and find someplace bigger.
While we lived in this apartment Debbie got her first animal. It was a beautiful Persian kitten and she had championship blood. Debbie found out that she was allergic to cats but she didn’t care. She saw the doctor and he prescribed some medication.
Our apartment was the first one above the parking garage in the corner. No balcony.
