Near the end of the summer of 2004 while winding down my work at Gingiss, I was offered a job as the VP of IT for Lumber Liquidators in Colonial Heights Virginia and I accepted the position.    Sean and Kelsey were in their last year in high school and middle school so we decided that I would move down there by myself until school let out in the spring.    I went down there and bought a little townhome in Season’s Trace and it was a wonderful little cottage in the woods outside of Williamsburg.   I loved that place and everyone liked coming down for a visit.

The Front

This was my living room. I had my piano, my Xbox, my bongos and my stereo.   What more could anyone want?  Every night I watched prime time TV from my living room or the loft.   Magnum PI was on at 8 followed by Hawaii 5-0.   I was living in a time warp.

The Deck

The View to the Kitchen

What an ideal situation for a computer geek. I had my computers and each night I would work on different projects.  Some for work and some for fun.

This is the side of my house in the fall.  You wouldn’t belive how many leaves fell around the house.

I went home to Illinois every four or five weeks because the air fare was so expensive.   Living in my townhouse in Williamsburg made my living very easy and fun.   Every Saturday I would to down to the old town to watch the Drum and Fife Corps march down the street and then I would get a sandwich from the Cheese Shop. It was great and I will never forget it.
